Coarse-ground yerba mate for chimarrão, 1 kg pack - the mate herb for hot tea consumed in a gourd with a metal straw (bomba), a tradition from Southern Brazil. Made from the leaves and other parts of the yerba mate plant (Ilex paraguariensis); the coarse grind releases less dust and clogs the straw less. Fill the gourd, moisten with warm water, position the straw, and top off with water at approximately 70 °C, never boiling. Large pack, for the daily mate circle.
